When I attempt to show cut/fill construction limits in plan view, I only see the separate feature definitions for cut/fill if I'm NOT using Use Feature Name Override, with gaps in between where it is transitioning. If I DO use Feature Name Override, the complete complex element takes on its own feature definition, not designating where I have cut or fill. I would like for the program to hold the cut symbology for cut and the fill symbology for fill for quick analyzation in plan view and still remain one feature by the override name. Is this not possible?
I am in CONNECT 2020 Release 1 Update 8 - Version 10.08.00.88
To clarify - you want it to be one feature, with two different symbologies?

yup
Did you find any solution?
As far as I know, there is NO solution for transition gaps between Cut/Fills (and I've been looking for a couple years now). Also, the Feature Name Override is NOT very explanatory. To my knowledge, when multiple Template Points are named the same (by usage of the Feature Name Override) - the multiple Template Points are created as a SINGLE feature. Even if the multiple Template Points are assigned to different Feature Definitions - whichever Template Point is used first in the Corridor corresponds with the Feature Definition that will be used.
But, no. I don't believe a single Feature can contain two Symbologies
The purpose of Feature Name Override is to allow you to generate a single continuous feature even though the templates my have used display rules or variable end conditions.
So if you had multiple Cut tie in points and multiple fill tie in points, you can get a single cut feature and a single fill feature. But if you combine them all into a single daylight feature, then you also only get a single feature definition and symbology for that feature.
