Not losing cells(drop) and text would be also nice. Not to mention contour annotations.

Thanks Avdhoot, this is something a lot of users really need quite often to convert Terrain graphics to non-DGN formats so im really hoping this can be re-applied for 2021 Release 2.

Hi Avdhoot,

ORD 2021 (10.10) has now lost this functionality and dropping Terrain functionality now has reverted to pre-ORD 2020 R3.

Can this Defect be reopened please.

Thanks Avdhoot,

Essentially the ability to also drop thematic display graphics to CAD elements is also something many users, including myself, need urgently for delivery to our clients. Just like this drop function, we need to be able to drop Thematic display graphics for export to other formats that are required.

Yes, The Raised defect 1026213 is been fixed in the ORD 2020 R3 and closed by developers. I would like to know if there is anymore we can upgrade within same feature.

Looks like dropping Terrains using the Drop element command with Application elements ticked is now working in ORD 2020 R3...

Something similar for station annotation dwg export worked for me regarding problems of curve radius and cuve length returning 0.000 after drop.(2020 R1-R2)

1. Drop with Text Elements Disabled

2. Drop again and it will then sometimes disappear

3. Undo and then Drop again (Requires drop 2 times in total)

4. Change Attributes to match level styles

Hi Avdhoot,

The only way i can drop a Terrain to a Mesh (as per previous ORD versions) using the Drop tool is to:

1. Drop with Application Elements enabled

2. Drop again and it will then disappear

3. Undo and then Drop again

Such a fantastic workflow...

Has anything changed in this version?

Yes , as per the description , If you put the terrain into selection set and try to drop it , it will disappear , its a defect and defect number is 1026213, But if you use the tool drop element and then you select the boundary line the whole terrain will get dropped.
