Hello everyone,
I havent workt alot in Open Roads yet so I gues that this is a basic question.
If i make a longitudial cut with this tool:
It displays in the cut only the active terrain.
Is it somehow possible to make it desplay other Elements in adition to that?
Like for exemple if I'd want the point from the Situation (obove) in the cut (below)
Can somebody pleas tell me if and how that works?
Thank you
Regards Michelle
Michelle - I am not sure what you are trying to display, but if there is any 3D elements in the Default-3D model, you can get them displayed by selecting the 'Create 3D Cut' button in the profile view.

In addition to what Mark has answered, there are several other options to show the various elements from your models in the profile.Take a look at the options available under the Profile Creation or Element Profiles buttons. You can read more about these options in the help file, https://docs.bentley.com/LiveContent/web/OpenSite%20Designer-v2/en/GUID-CCF0EED3-853A-03C2-2F0C-874D05AB7BB0.html
Thank you Jan - yes, those methods are even more useful, especially 'Profile Intersection Point' for marking the position of elements I want to tie into when doing my profile.
Thanks for the quick answers
Hi Mark, thanks for this. With the latest version of OpenRoads, when I'm making a 3D cut in the profile, and I'm using the front and back cut presentaiton. Only 3D objects within 10m of the control line are shown (left or right), outside of this, no 3D objects are shown. Have you encountered this issue?
