While I was able to upgrade my ORD seat last week while everyone else was having so many issues, today, I am trying to create a new install folder for our desktop support team and during the copying ord phase of the /layout process, it gets to about the 2/3rds point and restarts and after three tries, it stops.
Are the install problems still happening or is there an addition switch that would make it more persistant?
We were able to fix the installation problems that were happening, and I personally haven't encountered your issue. Are there any additional details you could add about your problem? Are there any messages? Is there a specific step the installation is having trouble with?

Jacob

This is a zip of the log file generated. Hope there is no secure info in it.
So I looked at the log file and went to the local folder it creates. There was already files there. I since have renamed that folder so now its creating a new set of files. Its taking longer to run, this time - not sure why that is. Will edit post again with news of it completing or failing.
It made it farther so far. The progress bar never made it past the second N in CONNECT but now its well into Edition, and there are 20 items in the folder so far...
And it worked. So there is some type of issue if the folder already exists and already has some file in it.

Are there any new developments? My advice for situations like this is to make sure the folder in which the deployment image is being downloaded into is deleted before you do the layout, if it already exists. Did you do a previous deployment of a previous version and this new deployment is being copied in the same folder?

I had used the upgrade tool of CONNECTION Client to upgrade my ORD, so my PC must have already had the download folder. Also, I was the guy working with Chuck Lawson when we migrated our Ss4 workspace to ORD, so my PC was also where the first /Layout option was ever tried. Anyway, as I mentioned in my follow up edits, by removing the folder and starting "fresh", it finally worked. For all I know, that folder had been overwritten a few times and may even hold files not even in use anymore. Now, I know its clean.
