with OpenRoads Designer export a corridor to ifc it's easy:
but i don't know how to export a terrain to ifc with Openroads designer, is it possible?

Hi Santiago,
You will need to either apply a Surface Template to the Terrain with a minimal thickness 0.0001 or use the "Mesh from Element" tool with "Keep Original" ticked and apply a Mesh feature Definition.
Unfortunately only Featurized meshes get exported using the ORD IFC Export tool currently.

You should be able to create one that you can use in 1 minute (a simple component in your Template Library).
Mark, Thanks for the speedy response. Lets pretend i am neither a true microstation, nor inroads user. Templates went out the door 30 years ago for me. However, I need to create an IFC model from a terrain surface and i do not have a template library? that I know of, unless it was packaged with ORD. A little more of a hint would be perfect. Thanks heaps
