Hi
When I am creating Sheet from Drawing Boundary in Openroads Designer, when create drawing window pops up there is no annotation option available, so how we can annotate the Plan grid in this case.
As a work around i tried to do thru Model annotation the plan grid, but that doesn't work.
Can any one has the idea how to do this, it will be highly appreciable.
Thanks
Ilyas

Ilyas,
You will want to use the Civil Plan command to utilize the Annotation. Place a Civil Plan Named Boundary and leave the Create Drawing option unchecked. Then, go in and edit the Named Boundary to look how you want it to clip. Then, go to the Named Boundary manager and create your drawing from there.

Hi Holly,
Thanks for your prompt reply, yes Civil Plan command can be use to annotate but this can be used if i have alignment, but for my case it is a topographic drawing which dont have alignment. Either I have to create dummy alignment then create the plan sheets which I dont think it is a right method.
My question is what is the purpose of the option Create from Drawing Boundary where there is no option of annotation of plan grid.
If You highlight on this it will be great help.

If you want more information on this command, I highly recommend this training that fully outlines how to use it: https://learn.bentley.com/app/VideoPlayer/LinkToIndividualCourse?LearningPathID=113449&CourseId=116243&MediaID=5007319. If this is not the workflow you are looking for, then you could consider creating a dummy type alignment to use the Civil Named Boundary tools.
