Hello,
I am trying to generate Plan & profile sheets following ODOT's example videos. I have generated the proposed alignments in the BK file and generated the GP drawings using the design2d file from the create design files application. I referenced in the alignments from the BK drawing and went through the steps using the place named boundary command. However when i get to the step to have the program "create drawing" I get an error that reads "Failed to attach savedview to model".
Has anyone else come across this issue?
I'm having the same issue (FDOT workspace) only when trying to create plan sheets (cross sections work just fine)
The only solution I have is an annoying one. You have to run the workspace doctor and clear/crash everything. This will reset your user preference file. Then I can run sheets with the named boundary manager. But after doing this once or twice I eventually get that "Failed to attach savedview to model" error.
Thanks. Where is the workspace doctor?
The FDOT has a "Connect" folder that downloads with their workspace for ORD. I thought it was typical for all Connect workspaces but it doesn't appear to. It's a shortcut tool that with the following prompts that you can do manually;
Clear Crash - End All Connect Processes
Close Excel (Dawn you won't need to do this)
Move Personal .UCF and UPF Files to the Recycle Bin (This seems to be what resets my named boundary capability)
Delete All user Specific Temporary Files
Remove All Temporary User Preference Files
I would ask your DOT if they have a similar tool so you don't have to manually Delete/Remove the temp files and UCF/UPF files.
