Folks:
I am having an issue with a Text Favorite updating within an SU Annotation. In short, the favorite is assigned to the feature name which in turn is the Drainage Structure Number. The text favorite within the cell updates for both a "Place Label" scenario using only a Text Favorite (white annotations as shown in the image) and also a "Place Label" scenario when using the annotation cell. However, the Text Favorite will NOT update with automatic annotation when I annotate the model (blue "bubble" annotations; and yes, the cell is placed within the annotation group for these particular inlets as shown in the attached image. The cell "bubble" places as is shown in the image, but it does not update the structure number. One can also see from the image that the text favorite does indeed work.
Could someone PLEASE let me know what is going on here? This issue is driving me crazy as I have tested just about every possibility as to why it is not updating automatically!
ORD 2020 R2
Thanks!
Mark
We are still working on our Open Roads Workspace, but I believe the fix is part of the Civil Labeler with some other updates and may require 2021 R1.
It is also better to start a new thread if the last post is as old as those in this thread.

We are having the same issue, but specifically with Profile Annotations. It looks like the Text Favorite is not reading the latest information of the Node (this is happening with Conduits too) and thus populating old information. Is there a fix??

As far as I know the situation still exists, even though I am now on ORD 2020 R3. Hopefully such will be fixed in the next update of the software?
Hey Mark, is there any news about this matter because I'm facing the same issue?
Best Regards,

Mark, I am doing some work here developing my D&U annotation and am getting some very inconsistent results on what updates when placed, what you are referencing I believe and what annotation updates with changes to the model. One thing that I am seeing is that behavior is much better when the label is placed with active snaps and selecting the 2D plan elements, not the 3D. I think there may be more to this, and I haven't completely isolated the various aspects of the behavior (beyond D&U annotation is unpredictable), but wanted to share at least that much.
