Hello,
I'm trying to adapt a terrain I have modelled from elements to a road.
How would you proceed? I would like to make my terrain follow the roadway that I have also modelled.
If anyone could give me any input it would be greatly appreciated.
I've edited the through adding features selecting my terrain and the corridors of my roadway, either doing holes or draped voids.
Is there a more efficient a precise way to proceed?
I do not understand exactly what you are trying to make. Are you trying to make a triangulation of the design surface? Or a combined terrain showing the existing merged with the proposed?
Hello Mark,
I have a file where i modelled my terrain to which i attached my road model. There are some parts were the terrain covers my roadway and what im trying to do, is to adapt these parts to my road.
The road does not seem to recognise my terrain, i do not know if the end conditions of my road should make my terrain adapt to them automatically, or if i have to do this manually some way.
Thanks, for the response.
I think this is what you mean.
1. You have an existing terrain. Have you made the existing terrain the 'ACTIVE' terrain? The road end conditions will then target this terrain.
2. You have a proposed road. The existing terrain will be under or over the road depending on whether you are in cut of fill.
3.The existing terrain will not change because of the road.
4. You will need to create a clipped terrain from the exting terrain i.e. use the proposed road to 'cut a hole' in the existing terrain, so that the road can sit in the hole to give you an 'as-built' view of the scheme.

Thank you Mark,
Im missing the end conditions on my road, thats why i wasnt seeing an adaptation of my terrain to my road.
