Copy Corridor From One ORD File to Another ORD File

I know there is a previous thread about this, but it doesn't seem like there has been any recent activity.  I want to copy a corridor from one ORD file to another and still maintain all the civil features.  Is there anyway this can be done?  I do not want to do a 'save as' to create the new file.  Thank you!

  • I don't think this is possible. I'd like to be wrong...But I don't think it can be done.

  • Only way I can think off is to use the original file as a seed.

I did try a while ago to use the Corridor Design Input Report as an IRD file. But was only partially successful. The report and ird are very similar

  • Actually I have the solution. Make the Corridor a civil cell. Then save as the file as a dgnlib and add to your civil cell library folder.

Close and reopen ORD in the new file and the new civil cell will be available for you to import into your new dgn.

  • Andrew,

I will give that a try.  When I made my corridors, the seed file I started with was an older, non connect seed file, which I was not aware could cause problems.  I have a pretty extensive corridor and have been getting errors when trying to do certain things, so I was thinking that redoing corridors staring from a correct seed file could perhaps solve the issues, however, to recreate from scratch would be a big undertaking.  Thank you for your suggestion!
