I am trying to create a proposed terrain on the finished surface of a corridor using a mill/resurface & widening template.
When I go thru the steps using the Create Terrain using Graphical Filter, the proposed terrain voids on the widening part of the model. It tries to include it on one end.
Does anyone have any suggestion on what I could look for to fix this?
From the top image, it looks like the features in the middle could be set to boundary features - possibly. My first thought would be to check what type the filter assigns to the features.
Thank you for the reply.. Beyond this, I don't really know what to look at. Is this what you were talking about? I am using he Proposed Finish Grade filter group. Disclaimer... The workspace is not a finished product so there may be something off.
You create a series of filters - e.g. red lines of level 1 = break lines, blue on level 2 = contours etc. There can be as many filters are you want. The filters can then be combined in whatever order and amount to define a variety of filter groups.
In the example above, the 'Design Proposed Finished Grade' group is made up of 2 filters. The 'Proposed Finished Grade' is using Feature Definitions to select what to use, and uses them as 'Break lines'. Check what is being used in the 'Proposed Finished Grade - Boundary Only' filter.
You need to check that the features being used in the Filters are actually in the model and the feature type (in the filter) is correct.
The instructions I am using do not instruct me to use the Proposed Finished Grade - Boundary Only filter group for what it's worth. Hmmm...
What instructions?
That's just what I was told to try. The workspace itself is in beta. There may be a bug or I may not be doing it right.
If you were just told to use the filter group, and it is not giving you what you expect - I would have to assume the filter group is set up incorrectly.
