I have a vertical profile that I have made complex. I need to make many edits and want to uncomplex it or take the complex off and revert back to the element pieces. How do I do this without starting over or using undo?
If using openroads you can drop the vertical using the microstation command, do you amendments then re complex the alignment
You might be able to export LandXML and then Re-import. I used that in Ss4.

I'm coming from an AutoCAD Civil 3D background and OpenRoads is my first Bentley product. Complexing is new to me. Sounds like the easiest thing to do will be to just restart building a new profile.
The issue is, when creating the individual elements, rules get created and these try to preserve design intent. By exporting and re-importing, the rules are removed and you have an easily editable profile. If you rebuild, you might end up with a new set of rules and end up back where you started.
I can't recall if Civil 3D allows one to combine separate vertical elements into a single profile, but that's the idea behind complexing.
