I am trying to import the attached alignment and the software keeps shutting down on me. I've imported other alignment that aren't quite as curvy without any issues. HELP!!
Import how? Into which software package/version? What tools/process are you using?

Mary-I got sidetracked on another project and I'm just now getting back into this. I am using Power InRoads 08.11.09.878 and MicroStation 08.11.09.878. I am using the Import Geometry icon under the General Geometry tab. Would appreciate any suggestions you have. Thanks!!
No further edits will be made. I just tried again with create civil rules unchecked and still no luck. I've tracked the alignment after import. All is well until it gets to the first PC, then things go haywire after that.
Have you tried exporting to XML from SS2 then importing to SS4? Is your vertical geometry consistent like the horizontal? Would you be able to share the ALG?

I have not tried the XML route. I'll give that a whirl next.
I would love to share my ALG. I keep getting an error message when I try to attach to this thread. I feel like an idiot! Can I email it to you? Appreciate you hanging in trying to help me.

Solution found! Changing the alignment from chord definition to arc definition in the native alg file was the key. Thank you Justin!
If I recall, chord vs arc is road vs rail. identical Degree of Curve arcs will be different if one is in arc and one is in chord.
