I have a corridor that I use civil cells for driveways and Tee intersections at both ends. I need to cut cross section at centerline of each driveway. Also I like to see my cross slopes at both ends of my corridor where I have my T intersection civil Cells. In SS4 I was able to select the civil cell terrain in my filters but in OpenRoads designer I am not sure how to accomplish this task since you could only pick template points and civil cells only have surface templates. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,
OpenRoads uses features not limited to template points. It means that you can use any feature that is in the 3D model. However if you want to annotate between 2 features that are not a segment of a template, you must "create" this segment in the annotation group. You can do so by using "List of segments" and edit the list of segment. You can pick a segment and edit point names to change them and create your own segment.
Thanks for the response. I am cutting cross sections along the alignment of main corridor at even stations and also at stations where I have driveways. the named boundary only intersect with the edge of the pavement where it meets the driveway and maybe the end of the driveway. However my driveways have active profiles meaning that I like to capture intermediate points like PVIs and being label various slopes along the driveway. I do not know how to force ORD to capture those points. Do you have an example that you could point me to? Thanks,
Do you mean you want to create named boundaries (cross sections) at PVI points of other alignments than the one used to create the named boundaries ?
No, the named boundaries are along the main road centerline. I have created an Event Point list to cut additional cross sections along the main road centerline where where driveways are located.
I am still looking for an answer to this problem. Below is an example image of the driveway that I need to label its slopes.
