I have a corridor that I use civil cells for driveways and Tee intersections at both ends. I need to cut cross section at centerline of each driveway. Also I like to see my cross slopes at both ends of my corridor where I have my T intersection civil Cells. In SS4 I was able to select the civil cell terrain in my filters but in OpenRoads designer I am not sure how to accomplish this task since you could only pick template points and civil cells only have surface templates. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,
Just following up, did this work for you ?
Aaaahhhh, I'm with you now! That's an awesome idea! I can't wait to try that out!
The drive profile gets annotated from the profile annotation group.... basically just the grade annotations are used. When the Drive is referenced into the section drawing model... The elevations and any grid are turned off. when i create the drive profile i plot a cell that indicates Skewed Ahead.... or Skewed Back. if skewed the sections reference can be turned off so you don't have both existing grounds displayed. or you can clip out the referenced sections information. Any extraneous annotations can be deleted form the section as well.
if the drive is changed.... the profile "updates" and when you next open the sections the referenced profile would be updated.
I use a display rule to shut off the the corridor's slopes across the drive locations.
This wouldn't cooperate/synch with a "smart" model but, end of the day could get the job done. Will ORD annotation pick up points on the referenced drive model? Or do you have to manually annotate the drive model as well?
Create a profile of your drive at the same scale as your sections. Reference that profile drawing into your mainline sections.
