IMPORT ITEM TYPE

Thanks Mark for the information but I still don't know how to import the item types. Please is there a well structured xlsx spreadsheet to import directly? for you to use as a template. Thank you!

There is the Import/Export button - I have not used it, so my suggestion would be to export your Item Types to Excel to see what format it uses.

The attached is what I got when I exported one library (Sample) with one ItemType (Ex01) - the Item Type had one attribute of each type i.e. Interger, number etc.

Your spreadsheet is not the same format as mine. How did you export your data, and what version of ORD are you using?

To export I'm going to a dgn, I'm going to link items, activate the ones I want to associate and then export:

then he associated them to an element:

With the element selected I go to the export section:

this is the result file:

I have done tests with this file, I have replaced the data with others to import different ones. And I have even tried to import the same xslx with the same data but I get error:

I did not select anything - I exported the library using the right icon (you have selected the left icon). I want the general Item Type layout, not a specific element.
