This has always been an issue since Ss4. We are still using a lot of linked XIN settings in our Linear Features for Corridors. When using a design stage that displays 3D features.the crossing features in the dynamic sections come in a huge plus signs, 20' X 20'.
The XIN has crossing points defined - some as plus sign, some as a cell. but I seem to get very inconsistent results and edits seem to have no effect.
What is the best way to get a point that is visible without taking over the cross sections. And where is the actual setting being used actually defined?
Have you tried modifying the XS point symbology associated with the style?
Modifying the height and width changed the size of the character displaying in the dyn xs model for me. After I made changes to the symbology I had to change the respective feature definition (FD) from its original FD to another FD and back to the original FD to see the changes update in the dynamic xs model.

I am finding limited success with Native Style. The other thing seems to be if the cross section settings are blank, we are getting something, but I am not sure its source. If I knew that, maybe I could change its size and it would effect nearly all features - at least the once which have no apparent setting.
