Hi,
please where can I find information about IFC version which is used in ORD 2020 R2. I know that I can see it inside file in header and also in ECSxhema IFC file transform. But I need to know as much as is possible to better understand how it is working with colours, properties, geometry. Please is here some IFC expert who implemented IFC in ORD
Thank you a lot
If the version is written in the file, and you know it, what is it you are actually asking for?
Hi mark, because according BuildingSmartInt. is existing many various definition for each IFC file format. For example IFCv4 which is probably used by ORD(according file info in header) has 5 difference definition (see https://technical.buildingsmart.org/standards/ifc/mvd/mvd-database/). I need to understand as much as is possible because I need to solve for example colour issue. The main reason is that our client is governmetal organisation we can not stay out of bussines with Bentley product
Hi Jiri,
It is IFC 4 Addendum 2 according to here:

Hi to all,
I continued with investigation what can be wrong with colours and I found one difference. When I exported civil mesh with ORD 2020 R1 ( 'OpenRoadsDesigner 10.08.00.88') ifc file contain colours, please check attached file T_-A31CB__ZBA__-EY-N-154_-11C-3_-1-_-_-_______.ifc. When I exported civil mesh with ORD 2020 R2 ('OpenRoadsDesigner 10.08.01.33') ifc file does not contain colours, please check attached file T_-A31CB__ZBA__-EY-N-1902-11C-3_-1-_-_-_______.ifc. Please can someone who understand ifc tell me what is wrong? I am also in touch with team of BIMvision who adjusting their viewer according Bentley ORD´s output files. Unfortunatelly as I told colour issuue of IFC is very importatnt for governmental clients. I log it like SR but that is not fast enought to get answer what is wrong.

I've also found that the IFC exported from ORD includes the feature definition plus and folders. Which includes a "/", when importing the IFC into other software it reads the "/" and had an error.
I've found editing the IFC in say notepad++ and replacing the "/" with a "_" solves the issue.
Still have the colour issue so would be good to resolve this

Hi, i found workflow how to fix colour issue in ORD export to IFC
Colour are written to IFC file only if you are using colours in level manager which are choosen from colour table with colour index.
