Hello,
is it possible to snap conduit to center of node and have 3D conduit visualization cut to node wall?
I am working on OpenRoads Release 2 Update 8 - 10.08.01.33
Pawel, to accomplish this currently, I have seen two approaches the first is to just shrink the connection region until it has a smaller width than the needed tolerance, 0.001' for example. As long as it is still a shape the software seems to respect that and trim the conduit. That doesn't quite satisfy my inner engineer, so for nodes that I always want centered, I create the connection region offset with one side centered. That method is outlined here if you want to take a look. Both of these do require some level of control over your configuration as you will need to be able to modify the Cell file.
Hope that helps.
Steve

I saw that instruction. the thing is that I want to rotate the manhole or inlet and when I do that the connection i moving along the connection region and changes the snap point. I want to design drainage, not only reconstruct premade system.
I see now. That one I can't help with.
Still, thank you for beeing interestd in. as Mark Marnell wrote it is under development :)
Yeah, this one is an annoying issue- primarily with circular objects! As regards the node connection region as mentioned by Steven, all of our nodes have a region which is 0.005' on either side of the centerline of the object. The tolerance is thus a total of 0.01' within the area of contact. Not "perfect", but still providing a flat plane by which the conduits are to attach and orient. Your solution is possibly a better one, Steven. One just has to make sure that they are always on the "zero" point of that region.

Well, while developing 15 km of freeway what gives about 250 manholes, 350 inlets and 7 km of conduit, good monipulation of drainage system is must be. Waiting for the update :)
Close subject.
