Hello,
is it possible to snap conduit to center of node and have 3D conduit visualization cut to node wall?
I am working on OpenRoads Release 2 Update 8 - 10.08.01.33
I heard somewhere that this was fixed in 10.11? Is that just a rumor? (I'm currently using a connection cylinder with a diameter of 0.01 inches. This works suitably, except the profile shape seems to be the diameter of the connection region (0.01"). 3D Slice helps some them.
What do you call it when you resurrect a dead thread? (the kids have a term for it)
Is that this enhancement?
Regards,
Mark

Indeed, the pipes do trim; however, the unified length and the construction length will now both be to the center of the object. We calculate our pipe lengths 3D and inside edge to inside edge. Furthermore, imagine that one is connecting from a circular manhole to a boxed inlet. Now, the length is from the CENTER of the manhole to the EDGE of the boxed structure. The software needs to understand unified vs. construction length in the manner it used to but while trimming the conduit on circular objects.
Oh, lest I forget: the conduit interior and exterior walls for circular, arched, and box conduits show up fine. They do NOT show up for elliptical sections, only showing the "centerline" feature as was done in previous versions of the software. I thought- at first- that there might have been something amiss with my conduit catalog, but such was not the case. As well, I use the same FD for concrete circular, concrete arch and concrete elliptical conduits, so that cannot be the issue either. If someone has gotten the interior and exterior plan view walls to show up for elliptical conduits, please let me know (and how)!
Best Regards,
blame it on "agile". By the time we roll out 10.11 and run into that level of issue, a minor release might fix (such is my hope). But I'll take the progress, incremental as it is.
