Please may I get assistance with assigning a baseline feature to a conduit. I'm using Open Roads Designer 2020 Release 2 (10.08.01.33)
I've managed to assign the node to the baseline feature RampB.
I would like to achieve the same for a conduit. Get the station at which the conduit intersects the baseline.
I have tried: CIVIL ACCUDRAW. It only allows me to pick (draw) the station and offset, not save it.
USER DATA EXTENSION: I'm having difficulty creating an extension that picks up the baseline station.
Perhaps this could be my solution.
I'd appreciate the help!
Hi,
We don't have the functionality to assign a baseline feature to a conduit. The reason for this is because a conduit can only exist between two nodes, and the nodes can have a baseline feature assigned, so the baseline station and offset for the start and end of the conduit is the same as that of the start and end nodes - if you assume that the ends of the conduit are at the centre of the nodes.
The properties of a conduit, or a conduit FlexTable, will tell you the names of the start and stop nodes for a conduit. You could create User Data Extensions for a conduit, to store the start and end stations and offsets, then copy and paste the data from the relevant nodes into these fields. You could use text UDX to store these values, as the formatting can be done in the properties for the node. You can also apply sorting to FlexTables, such as Upstream > Downstream, or Dendritic, which should get the content of a node and a conduit FlexTable in the same order.
