We recently purchased OpenRoads Designer release 2 (10.08.01.33) and earlier this week, upgraded to release 3 (10.09.00.91)
We also switched from GoDaddy to Microsoft 365 cloud based system which also gives us SharePoint. So we have all things Microsoft now on the cloud.
During my research I've read that SharePoint can act as a "server" but I just can't find any helpful information to accomplish that.
My question is, how can I configure our local OpenRoads configuration files to "point" to folders on Microsoft 365 SharePoint? I'd like to be able to maintain all our standard CAD configuration files there so I can maintain "1 file in 1 place". I have 4 people running OpenRoads and they are in various parts of the country.
I have been playing with modifying my local configuration files (in this example, I tried modifying the file WorkSpaceSetup.cfg) to use files on our SharePoint "server" but I couldn't get it to work.
I can't seem to find any information on how to get this done.
With the advent of cloud based computing which has been around awhile, I would think that having a program like Bentley OpenRoads Designer point to and access/use a file on the cloud system would be easy to do.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or help me figure out how I can get this accomplished?
I'd really like to start putting all my Seed files and other standard files in standard folders in SharePoint so we can be more efficient in our designs as well as security and maintaining centralized files in centralized folders.
Thanks in advance for help.

Have a look at syncing the SharePoint folder to your pc using OneDrive and entering %USERPROFILE% in your cfg as part of the root path for the workspace, removing the need for C:\Users\your.name\.
Then all you'll need to do is get your users to sync the folders for SharePoint and copy over the cfg.

Depends how much of the workspace files are to be stored on SharePoint.
Are you planning to put the Organisation-Civil, Workspace and Workset on SharePoint?
