Currently I am able to attach the Bing Maps background to my file . The issue is I want to be able to clip, edit (contrast and brightness), and ultimately print the background map with my design overlayed. Is there a way to clip the bing maps, or perhaps easily import it as a raster image?
Thank you, Kevin! I hope this fix will also help others.
Thanks again,
Dennis
All,
I wanted to leave an update on the issue with Dennis on ICS renditions not showing Bing maps. The resolution to this issue was to add the configuration variable MS_RASTER_BINGMAP_KEY as shown in the help file "To Attach Bing Maps" to the workspace.
Once this was added the renditions were created with the raster image.
Hi Jing,
I appreciate your response. I was able to figure out the clipping issue by running into the same youtube video you provided, thank you.
I also generated a new support ticket with Bentley regarding the printing issue using Renditions. I will let you know If I get a response from Bentley.
Thank you,
You may need to create 1 additional DGN and use Raster Manager to attach BING Map.
Then you can clip reference for that "BINGMAP DGN"

Hi Sina, I am also running into the same issue where I "am" able to attach Bing maps to my background using the correct Geographic Coordindinate System but not able to print the Bing image using renditions. Is there a certain variable that needs to be added to the workspace in order for it to work with renditions? The Bing image did print when I used the default PDF driver. Also, I am not able to clip the boundary of the image most likely because I keep getting the message "Raster Image is currently Reprojected"?
Any suggestions will be helpful.
