In the days before XIN files, the Impexp.ini file held the information on TIW and TEW files. It would use a full path to any user added files, even if the files were in the same folder as the delivered files.
You could manually edit the file to remove the path, which we usually did.
Now that the XIN file contains this information, what rules govern where the software looks for these files. We are using networked workspaces and frequently the XIIN is far removed from the data folder. Also some clients provide customized TWE and TIW files along with their XIN files.
Can we get different XIN files to load different TEW and TIW files from locations other than the data folder?
Can we use configuration variables to point to these paths?
Can any of this be carried back to an Impexp.ini file for use on projects still in earlier versions?
