I am trying to work through what appears to be a bug in the Sheet Index. I set up the index with various folders so I could have series of sheet numbers such as C1.x, C2.x, etc. as shown in this screen shot.
This method works well for sheet numbering and I thought it would be a good way of tracking "sheet #" of "total sheets". The problem I'm having is that the sequence number of the models do not seem to be updating so the "sheet #" isn't updating correctly when I add or remove sheets. For instance, the sheet index shows sheet C3.1 to have a sequence number of "5". The "Place Sheet Index as Table" tool also shows a sequence number of "5" for the same sheet.
But the "Sheet #" on the actual page shows an incorrect sequence number of "3".
I did notice that even though the sheet index shows a sequence number of "5" the model properties show a sequence number of "3".
Is there a way to update the Model sequence number so it matches the sheet index sequence number?
I can't find the option to "Update Sheet Model Properties" when I right click. This is all I get:

This is the same observation that I had. I had to use MicroStation to get that option to appear in the Right-Click Menu.
And people wonder why I get frustrated that ORD isn't directly built on a Microstation platform...If ORD is supposed to be the only product that I need, then it should have all the basic functionality.
If a function is available in MicroStation, it should be available in the other products. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Running parallel development groups leaves a lot of room for gaps like this.

Mary, ORD is built on exactly the same platform than MicroStation, the difference is that ORD doesn't necessarily use the latest version because the ORD dev team needs to test the platform functionality first, work on a stable platform and have enough time to find solution to any incompatibilities between MicroStation and ORD functionalities. So if some new functionalities in MicroStation are not yet in ORD, they're likely to be including at the next release, apart if any big issues occur.
I've been told by others that it's NOT built directly on the MicroStation platform and that I shouldn't expect full MicroStation functionality from any of the "Open" products.

HI Mary, Jan is correct and yes ORD is not built directly on MicroStation because it is not a platform but a finished product. ORD and MicroStation share exactly the same platform, as do all the Connect Edition products. ORD has maybe 99% of the functionalities of MicroStation and some of them are deactivated because incompatible or messing up with ORD tools. But we don't run the development of 2 distinct products.
So is there a work-around to get the sheet index correct or will I need to manually re-label approximately 100 plan sheets?
Apparently that capability is available and functioning in plain Microstation (not ORD).

If you have access to one seat of plain Microstation, you should be able to use that to update the model properties.
If you don't, you may indeed have to do it manually.
