I am not sure if there is something wrong with the terrains I created or what, I have used this method to clean up the edges before and it worked fine. But not it seems like I cannot select the terrain and when I change the feature definition or element template all the lines and everything disappear and I cannot get them back at all.
I doing all of this to clean up the terrain lines that are out side of my boundary in the few areas. I am trying to use the insert vertex way of cleaning up the triangles I don't want.
And also when I am trying to create the boundary around the terrain model it wont let me, because it says the element is not active. I have set the terrain model to active.
Which version of the software are you using? There are quite a few, and they all have different capabilities and bug fixes.
Is this a problem in all of your terrains, or is it just this one? It's possible a bit of data has gotten corrupted, or there's some sort of Rule that you aren't aware of.

I am using the Power GeoPak 08.11.09.878.
I only have the one terrain in my drawing. This is the only time this happened to me. The only thing I did different on this one is that I created the terrain model from a selection set instead of just right clicking on the field book and creating it right from there.
Then you may have found what the problem is. It's possible something in that alternate workflow wrote a bad bit of data.
SS4/SS10 is a little bit "touchy" and sometimes things don't always work quite right. It's not *bad* but the OpenRoads technology is more of a "preview" than a fully functional design product.
At this point, I'd suggest making a new drawing and trying to create your terrain the way you usually do. Probably easier than trying to troubleshoot something that may not have an actual solution.
