I am trying to create a vertical alignment that connects from an existing terrain to a layout made from smart surfaces. I have tried to add via Quick Profile from Surface but the smart surface is not valid for the tool.
Is there another way to show the smart surface in the Vertical alignment window?
yep, try using the Profile 3d Cut icons on the top right of the Profile View. This will show any 3d object in your 3d model.
