the remove features AND delete features (from terrain model) functions do not seem to work.
i have a single bogus line, that was added to the surface as a breakline, and there is NO way the program will let me erase.
Here is a low quality video showing the issues, there has to be a bug, or some setting swith..PLEASE HELP
..
Josh, how was that Terrain created? Was it created from 3D Linear Features that were in the DGN, or was it created from an import of some other source data (like from a survey file or something)? Terrains can be pretty frustrating to work with if you don't know how they were created, so the first thing that I would be looking for are 3D Linear Features in the Explorer. And then if the Terrain was created from those 3D Linear Features then you should be able to just delete that 3D Linear and be done with it. ...I'll rewatch your video again to see if I can catch what's going on, but if that Terrain isn't changing, or allowing the removal of that using the Terrain Editing tools, then I would be hunting down that construction line and deleting that with the MicroStation Delete tool. It all depends on whether or not the Terrain is created 'from Source' data or not ... but it sounds like if an accidental construction line was used then that's your 'source' data. Also, what version of ORD are you on?
i may have found the solution, i removed the two "unlinked elements" (which were the extracted ground and road shots) and now the model seems to be operation OK, the kicker is, i need those points in my surface...perhaps I will just add them at the end...argh
That's good news! Kind of. I've been banging on this and unable to replicate what you experienced but what you just noted was probably why. ...and you're right, I would just add those back in after that bogus break is removed.
still having issue deleting that single line, it just wont go away, i have removed other lines, but that one seems frozen..
Is it possible to send me that DGN? I can take a look at it ... because now I'm really curious as to what's going on.
