Currently, I have my existing utility lines in 2d view with a feature definition and plotted them at an assumed depth of 3' below existing ground in profile view and set as active profile. Typically, in SS4 and SS10 this worked in terms of displaying the utility line in my cross-sections views. However, in Openroads it shows my utilities only as a point. I am unable to display the height and width of the utilities. Is there something crucial I am missing or is this process done entirely different.
Does your feature definition have a cross section setting?

I don't think so. I only assigned a feature definition in plan view.
I am still learning this myself, but I believe that you can assign settings to profile and cross section aspects of a feature, as well as plan.
Such as, if the feature is crossed in section, display "this cell" or something.
As I said, I'm still learning this, but I seem to recall that's how the other views of a feature are controlled - through the feature definition.
I'm sure that, if I'm way off base, someone will be along soon to tell us both how it's supposed to be done :-)
It's very similar to the instructions in the video here... https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/35937/video-displaying-row-cell-in-cross-sections
Use the features and cells you want to associate for the utility lines. I'm surprised it's showing anything at all... Are you sure it isn't a small ellipse you're seeing? In that case, it may be a scale issue within the manage annotation dialog.

When I expand the explorer to see my annotation groups I am not able to see anything? I opened my cross-section file and there is nothing for me to expand the "Annotation Groups" to even though the model has obviously been annotated automatically and I am also noticing this in other files as well such as my plan sheets where there is no annotation groups being displayed under the Explorer.
