Hello everyone,
I have a file I've worked on for a few months now and just recently I've encountered a problem (probably with dgnlibs): when I open the file and click update from standards in the standards category, the file crashes. I tried many solutions from the forum, I tried to find some workarounds or clear the file but nothing works.
For the record, I had this issue some 3-4 months ago and I "resolved" it by removing feature definitions, symbologies, and all the other categories 1 by 1 in the model file. Only after deleting some of them could I finally update the standards and work as before.
There is 1 more thing worth mentioning - I encountered this issue simultaneously with another problem shown below (alignments lost their properties and the wheel next to complex element keeps spinning).

If anyone has any idea how to resolve these issues then please let me know. I couldn't find any similar problems on the forum. Thanks in advance for any response.

Do you only experience this issue in the one file? Have you tried other workspaces?

Jacob

Jacob,
the issue with crashing happened in 2 files: the file with my models and a dgnlib with feature definitions and feature symbologies and so on. I've just tried opening dgnlib with no workspace active and it crashed as I expected. Not sure if "no workspace" is equal to "other workspaces" from your question though.
In addition, I have some other models with the same dgnlibs working just fine, it seems that only this one file and the dgnlib itself are flawed.
Cheers,
Piotr
Hello Jacob,
have you seen the files I uploaded? Did you get any chance to look at them?
I'm still experiencing issues mentioned above, and I couldn't find any solution.
I was able to reproduce your issue, and it is definitely either file specific or some setting is messing it up. I haven't determined the cause of the issue yet, but I am still looking into it.
Unfortunately, I haven't found any setting that prevented the crash, and I haven't figured out why the issue is file specific. I logged a defect so development will take a look at this issue. The log information can be found below.Defect 1120019:Update from Library causes crashRegards,Jacob
did you try to delete the profile drawing model? I had this probleme and had to delete the drawing model for this to work.
Hi Jeremie,
I've just tried your idea and even after deleting profile drawing models nothing changes and the problem persists. I'd still like to hear Jacob's opinion as he is a more experienced user.
