Is it possible to edit a profile after the "profile complex by elements" has been used? I have a proposed bike path profile that needs more PIs added to it. I want two line segments to replace 6 different lines. Is this possible without having to redo the whole profile? I haven't had much luck using the Append profile tool either. I tried using the modify tool-> delete vertices, but is there a better way to add segments or delete lines? Once it is complexed I have all sorts of issues editing it. Any suggestions?
That's the idea.
We are still really only using Ss10, so we can fall back to InRoads if stuck. So I have actually only use that command once or twice.
I have even been know to export to LandXML and re-import to "simplify" an alignment to where I could make simple edits to.

I was worried that dropping a profile would break all the links between the alignment and the design line work but as you stated, the links do not break. Thanks you two!
When you have to change something about an horizontal alignment, do you just draw in whatever new line work you want, and just complex redefine it with the same profile name to keep the links?
There are less issues with dropping and re-complexing profiles than with alignments, as the profiles are always a child of their parent alignment.
For horizontal alignments, the complex redefine tool is the recommended tool as it will retain links to a corridor, should such a link exist. It is possible to easily change profiles used by corridors since it retains the parent alignment.
Chris,
In my experience the best way to edit a profile is to drop it into individual elements, edit what you need to do and re-complex the profile. There is a chance one or more parts of the design are affected by changing the profile, but that is usually easy to fix.
