When attempting to replace the reference for Arc from Element and Line from Element horizontal geometry, I almost always receive the "Element off design plane" error message followed by a complete program crash. This issue results in a considerable amount of wasted effort so I'm hoping to determine what causes this and how it can be avoided. Any tips/best practices would be much appreciated
Just wanted to check in to see if anyone on the Bentley team was able to resolve this. Thanks and have a great weekend
Thanks Mark, I should've been more specific from the get-go. Unfortunately, we're stuck using V8i SS10 because the client has yet to upgrade to OpenRoads Designer, so if there's any way to resolve the issue in this version, it'd be much appreciated. If not, I look forward to that functionality in the future once we finally make the switch. Thanks again
OK - just thought I should ask. No, I have not looked at the dgn, and yes, they are all the OpenRoads technology tools. I note that JPLN did not get the error in the latest OpenRoads Designer version.
By "for years", I'm referring to the past 3-4 years. I admittedly and regrettably should've sought answers sooner, but that's beside the point. Were you able to look at the dgn I provided? All elements should've been created using the following tools which I believe fall under the OpenRoads umbrella, not the native InRoads one. Thanks
If you have experienced this for years, and the issue "results in a considerable amount of wasted effort" - have you logged any service requests for this InRoads functionality? I am presuming it is native InRoads functionality you are using, and not the OpenRoads tech tools.
