I am removing 4" of topsoil was able to get it to show up in my cross section using the Unsuitable section in the End Area Volume Tool. However, when the fill is being calculated in this tool, it is not covering all of the area that is the unsuitable removal (topsoil removal). So the fill is only showing as the area between the bottom of my proposed to the existing ground. See picture 1 below. I need my fill to also include the depth of the unsuitables. Picture two shows the additional fill (blue shaded area) or the unsuitable cut, that I also want included in my fill. Is there some way to get microstation to also include this area in the fill?
I dont think it is OpenRoads Connect Edition you are using. There is a diffeent concept in Connect edition of volume calculations. IMO much better for modern workflows.
Thanks Adam huge help. Going to save me a ton of time. I am working in Openroads (not sure how different they are) and that is pretty much what the report is named.
I guess this is Inroads what are you using. I don't think it is possible to force fill shape go into unsuitable material on your XS. However, proper XML report (sth like Replaced Material added to Fil) will provide you correct numbers. And your Fill will be splited into two numbers: normal fill and extra for filling removed materials.
Hope this helps.
Adam
