I cross posted this on the Learn Server Forum. Not a lot of activity over there.
Adobe announced that the Flash Player was being retired/deprecated and recommends its removal. Once that has been done, the Learn Server Videos cannot be played. How will this be addressed?
Hi David,
We appreciate your honest feedback.
We understand that it is difficult to navigate through the courses, we are actively working on making changes which will reduce the lag time and improve the overall experience.
Will reach out for your detailed feedback after the enhancements are in place.
For accessing Bentley OpenRoads Designer training videos, please visit the Tennessee DOT website:
https://www.tn.gov/tdot/roadway-design/tdot-cadd-support/tdot-openroads-designer/ord-tutorial-videos.html
They figured something out that makes it much easier and faster to access the training videos.....
Hello,
Could you please drop me an email at prita.bhattacharya@bentley.com - I'd like to have a call with you to review these learning paths that you are having trouble with.
Thanks.
Thanks David - I will try that for now.
Hi Prita, it is not a specific learning path. It is a general issue with the poor speed/lag time in loading any of them, then scrolling through the titles manually looking for a certain key word or command. For instance, I am new to Named Boundaries and Plan Sheet models. There is a lot of useful material on LEARN for new users like myself, but I do not see anywhere to enter a search term so I can quickly find it. Alternately, if I use Connect Advisor which has a search function, the results are not what I expect, since none of the top returned suggestions for 'Place Named Boundary' would take me to the LEARN material about Drawing Production or Named Boundaries. Just frustrating for a new user that I can find it more quickly on Google and the TDOT website, than on either LEARN or Connect Advisor which are Bentley's own sites.
I understand your frustration. We have plans to add a search engine on LEARN soon, we are also working on improving the overall performance.
If you are having speed-related issues on viewing any Learning Path on LEARN we would like to baseline your experience, if you'd like I can set up a call for the same.
Let me know, thanks!
