Hi,
I've currently updated ORD from 10.08.00.88 to 10.09.00.91 and now the Place Label tool is no longer displaying the correct element properties from the model using a text favorite. It doesn't make a difference if I use the Bentley text favorite included with the install, or one of my own.
The place label tool now always just displays the same information that was used when creating the text favorite as seen in Image 1 (all the nodes and pipes are just labeling with what was used to create the text favorite instead of the correct properties from the model).
After the label is placed, I can edit the text, right click on the field, and choose "Reassign Field" which seems to update the label using the correct property as seen in Image 2. (I have to select each label and update them all individually this way)
I should note that this is happening for all elements, not just SU Pipes & Nodes etc.
Does anyone know why the Place label tool no longer uses the text favorite to correctly label the properties of an element? Perhaps there is a setting that got tweaked when I updated the software?

I don't see any changes to either text favorites or place label tool in the 10.00.09.91 version other than the introduction of a new key-in PLACELABEL TOOL OPEN that has been added for Place Label tool:

Is any of your colleagues also having this problem or is it just one workstation?
Hi, Thanks for the reply. Currently I am the only one using the software. I created a fresh test file from the seed and tested again and I have the same problem. (image below) None of the element properties are populating in the label. The pipes, nodes, and green features should all have different ID's. There has to be a fix for this?

I am also experiencing this problem. I am having the problem in version 10.08.01.33 (after installing/uninstalling the 10.09.00.91 version). I restored to the older version because I was doing a demonstration and wanted to use the currently active version. My Place Label cells and text favorites stopped working which previously worked. The tool isn't prompting for the element to read the data from, just the label location. It will work if I use the keypoint or nearest point to select the placement. I haven't had a chance to test if they work in 10.9 but based on this thread, I don't think it will work. Thanks for the information about the reassign option. At least now I don't have to manually annotate. I can use the label and reassign until it gets fixed.
I have determined that the labels will work if you snap (tentative or button snap) to the element rather than just simply selecting the element as you point out. I am still having issues with labeling element "elevations" XY coordinates seem to work but no luck with elevations yet.
Same for me here: elevation are NOT working with Label for either text favorite or cell
The same problem for me also. Managed to annotate without snap at all.
