I got a DEM in raster format from ArcGIS and tried to convert to inroads DTM by following Tools> Data Acquisition. I picked the correct projection and exported to inroads DTM.
When i bring the DTM in and try to draw contours, it prompts to triangulate the surface and this is the error it gives me:
The exterior boundary is crossing itself.
How can i fix this?

Can you confirm which Bentley product you are bringing the DTM into, and which version of that product you're using?
