From the video I watched, the picture I got is that it saves all the older files in a single zip file, but it'll still impact all the files that we don't want it to impact, and I'd have to re-find all those files and place them where they belong. And god knows how long it will take to process the rather immense network of files it'll be converting (if it works at all, because the network of files is so large), and not all of those are mine to play with.

If it's possible to assign a destination folder, I don't know how. I've seen where I can "open" (select as the primary file to be converted) a folder which I presume will include all DGN files within that folder, but I saw no option to specify where to put the files afterward.

I thought is allowed you to select a destination folder, so any files you do not own, will still exist in their original location.

If it doesn't, you could copy all files to a scratch folder and work on them there and that way, you can decide which version of any files you work with and which are retained in their original location and version.

I think, currently, it doesn't have such option.
