This post ties in to my earlier post about modifying Profile Named Boundaries.
Sometimes there is a need to modify a Plan Named Boundary. Perhaps you don't need to show part of the last sheet that lies beyond the project limits, or you need to modify a shape's vertices for various reasons. I tried this in the Drawing model, but there is no way to change the reference clipping boundary in the Drawing Model. I then modified the Named Boundary manually in the Design Model. However, the resulting Drawing Model's reference files move and they are no longer at the correct coordinates. Is this how it is supposed to work? I can clip or mask the referenced drawing models in the sheet files, but there is no way to expand the Named Boundary outside of it's original limits. You can only clip it smaller or mask part of it.
I would like the ability to change the shape and/or the extents of the Drawing model that ultimately show up on sheets. Is this possible?
It was much simpler with the Plan and Profile Generator in GEOPAK without the need for intermediate Drawing Models. I'm not seeing the advantage of this new workflow.
We are having the same issue. We would like to shift the beginning sheet to capture more plan view at the beginning of the alignment. Is there no good way to do this? Perhaps someone from Bentley could weigh in? I don't find the redo option very acceptable, especially if we have already annotated some of the drawing models associated with this alignment.
Thanks
We had the same/similar issue. We wanted to capture more plan before the beginning of the alignment (essentially shift the first sheet to the left and the rest adjust automatically). The only solution we could come up with is extend the alignment and redo the sheets.
