Hi,
I am trying to find a way to plot plan drawing with a corridor 3d model attached to the 2d model of the drawing dgn, that would show in the PDF as close as possible to the normal appearance when using Smooth or Illustration display style i.e. with a filled effect. I set this in the drawing file through a presentation setting in the attachment dialog. I realize that materials shown with display styles Illustration or Smooth will not plot with Rasterized Off (in the print dialog) but was hoping that Filled Hidden Line will come out properly on PDF. Unfortunately, it looks like using Wireframe display style.
Normally the PDF is fine when plotting with Rasterized option active at A1 sheet size. However, when plotting large format drawings i.e. 5m long roll at A0 height with the Rasterized on, it takes too long (over 2 hours) to plot and the file is very heavy and difficult to look at. Hence, my try with Rasterized option off.
I have done some tests with Pen Table settings with Fill option On as well as Fill colour and Transparency specified. I t looks like only shapes entities (2d and 3d) are affected by these settings. Ideally I would like to maintain the dynamic connection and avoid dropping the meshes to shapes.
I have searched the MicroStation Forum but couldn't find solution in existing threads.
I would appreciate any ideas / experience you might have.
Regards,
Mariusz
Hi Mariusz,Did you find the solution? Printing fills from 3D models would be great.Regards,
