I have a question on the recommended workflow for creating proposed elements to appear on plan sheets. I have elements that were generated from the corridor, and I placed a civil cell to define an intersection. While the corridor elements are clipped in the 3D model they are not on the 2D view. Are most of you drafting the elements in a separate .dgn file to reference in? That was the procedure I followed in InRoads SS2.
I would expect to see the linear features from a corridor generated in plan if "create template geometry" is set to true. Can you confirm this by pulling up the feature definition properties? Here's an example below.
I would also check the level display to see if it is turned on.

Thank you for the response. I did confirm that "create template geometry" is toggled on, and the linear features appear in the drawing. In the 2D view they ignore the fact that a civil cell is placed at the intersection and the curb lines run past the side street. I can't manipulate them either, I assume since they're tied to the template.
Only the 3D linework is shown as clipped. The 2D linework will appear unaltered - even if after successful clipping.
In your plan sheets, you will need to reference in and display the 3D corridor model linework - not the 2D linework.
Someone should file an enhancement request because it is just ridiculous that the 2D linework will not be shown as clipped. Pretty 3D models are nice and all, but the main objective of civil design is to create 2D plans.
I've logged the following enhancement
Best way is NOT to use this function (create template geometry) because once ON it cannot be turned off, you have to delete your template drop and civil cell... best way is to use the Plan by 3D elment. to select the lines you want to show in plan view, they reflect the 3D model, so yes they are cliped.
