I had previously posted about this issue before and I'm trying to figure out a solution with having to temporary delete things. Essentially I have a proposed profile for a trail called "VA-Proposed". The areas at the beginning and end of the alignment that I want to match existing terrain exactly. So to do that, I have created a profile for the existing surface called "VA-Existing." I used the "Add Surface to Profile" function which created an additional profile for the specific horizontal alignment. Then, during my corridor modeling, I used the Point Control to set the center line vertical using the VA-Existing and VA-Proposed alignments (see below).
That worked for the corridor modeling, but the problem occurs when I attempt to create a profile. The output that I get from ORD is shown below.
As you can see, ORD is annotating every single line in the existing terrain. It's obvious that it is treating that VA-Existing as another proposed profile. The bottom axis shows both the VA-Proposed and VA-Existing elevations on top of each other which would confirm that thought.
I guess my question is if there is a way to choose which of the vertical alignments (VA-Existing and VA-Proposed) that get annotated in a profile.
Thanks
Hello Brian,
Generally, the annotation for profiles in the Drawing model has been controlled by the Annotation Group which in turn associated with the Feature Definition which is used for the Profile features.
