I have set my Geo Coordinates and have background mapping showing in the Model Space of my file... But i was wondering if there is a way in which the background mapping can then be bought through onto sheet files with Saved Views, or any other way for that matter?
It would be helpful to show the surround areas (we have not be given any surround information on the project we are working on) to give the drawing more relevance.
any advise would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Harry
Not sure if I understand what you are asking for. I am somewhat new to this. but if you want to show an aerial file in any file you can go to the 'View Attributes' button under 'background map' and under 'Background Map Type' select 'Aerial'. let me know if that helps or if you want something else
Hi Harry,
In order to do this you need to attach the Bing Maps layer as a Raster.Open Raster Manager, Attach Raster > Bing MapsIn the attachment options, choose your layer (Aerial / ...)
This raster attachment (as any raster attached to the 2D Space) will be seen from the Drawing / Sheet models

This works, but when I set a Geographic coordinate system in the dgn file, and then attach the reference this way, it does adopt the current geographic coordinate system. Also, I can not change the Geo Priority from "Raster Header"
any suggestions?
