I am working through the Drainage Layout and Design module on the Bentley LearnServer. I have encountered a problem where I do not see anything in the 3D view. One of the early steps to the module is to change the view controls to see both 2D and 3D views of the project. The 2D view shows up fine but the 3D view appears to show nothin at all. I have tried to fit the view but it remains blank. See below
Could this be a problem with the files I downloaded from Bentley? Or is there something in the settings I need to change?

Have you checked what models you have in the DGN file? When you start a new 2D file, you will have the 'Default' 2D model where you layout your network or geometry. There is no 3D model created until you do something that involves 3D e.g. make a terrain active, create a profile - basically apply a z-value. At that stage the Default-3D' model is created.
Check the Model dialog to see if you have a 3D model to display.

That's it! I had two different 3D views and it defaulted to the wrong one. Thanks for the help.
