I managed to extract the XYZ from autocad and create a text file for that. Then create terrain model from Ascci file. =)

RE: Terrain Modelling

Hi Mark, i manaaged to extract the XYZ from autocad to text file and create terrain model from ASCCI File.
1) you can plot just the elevations from a csv into ORD then use (create by text interpolation) under the terrain tab and additional methods)

2) Create a txt with XYZ and under same Terrain tab then additional methods use the (create terrain model from Ascci file)

hope this helps i think its what Mark was saying also

Is that not a 3D file? Can the XYZ be put into a text file, as that is one way of importing the points?

If you have the XYZ, then it should be possible to use them to create a terrain.
