Hello everyone,
When creating a plan&profile sheet, I would like that the title box contains the start and end stations of the alignement represented in each sheet.
Example of the title box : Plan and Profile Sheet - From 98+844 to 99+844
For now I'm typing these titles manually, however I would like to know if there is a way to make it automatic.
Best Regards,
YoussefB
You should be able to insert an element Properties field into text to get the start and end station of the named boundary. This is how we add matchlines to the drawing model which are created using the annotation group. I don't think you could get it to automatically get this information if the field is located in the sheet model as you can't apply model annotation in a sheet model.
So you might be able to create the title block as a no-plot cell in your drawing model and then create an annotation group that would place the start and end info in the correct location. As I tried to show in the images below.
You could also edit the text that is in the sheet model and re-associate it with the named boundary on that sheet. Still a manual process I guess.
Hello Brenan,
Can I create an annotation group for Named Boundaries ?
You create the annotation group for your drawing model. In the 2nd screen shot you can see the matchline start and stop. you would copy those and change there position and format so that it would match the location on your titleblock.
Your named boundaries are controlled using a dgnlib and define the saved view.
Hopefully I answered your question.
Thanks this seems to be the solution.
So I added the math lines to the annotation group, however when annotating the model I can't see these match lines and I don't know what i may have missed.
Do you have any idea why ?
Best regards,
That could be a lot of things, pretty hard to figure out without being there in person. Could be the layer, could be how it is positioned, or rotated, could be the template, or some setting in the annotation group. Here are a couple more screen shots showing how mine is set up.
Getting the matchline text to rotate and be in the correct position may be difficult as they want to stick to the start and stop of the named boundary.
I think you will have to create a text favorite, then create a cell to contain the text, then add a plan drawing annotation (instead of a matchline).
The only way I found to create the text favorite was to create text in the drawing model that uses the field from the named boundary and then highlighting and saving as text favorite. (there was no option in the text favorite manager for named boundary)
Thanks a lot for your response, I will review these elements and I hope it will work.
