Within my active design file, I have assembled some frequently used Feature Definitions and collected them into their own "New Category" Feature Definition folder. I have also copied some Feature Definitions and Applied a "_Right" or _"Left" to some of them to specify sides for use with my templates.
How do I write these custom feature definitions and this new "collection folder" back to my DGNLIB from within the current Design File, for use within my other associated design files? Some of these Features have been created within a Geometry File and are for use within a Corridor File. Due to the custom folder, the path is now different on the Feature Definitions that I cut and pasted into my new category folder and can't be used within my templates now.
Rename the file to dgnlib, and put it into a folder looked for by the system - open the other dgnlib, and then you will be able to copy from your file to original dgnlib.
Another option is to just have your new dgnlib in the search path, so the new features will be picked up.

You may want to look into the migration utilities. You can export element templates, feature symbologies and feature definitions to xml and reimport them into a dgnlib. with the tools are some read me files that explain how to enable the xml import and export of the open roads settings, as that capability is not automatically enabled.
