Hello,
I have a structure that will have both communication and electrical conduits connected to it. Unfortunately the different Network Types within the feature definitions do not let this happen. Can anyone point me to more information regarding Network Types within Subsurface Utility Feature Definitions? I'd like to make a generic network type that I can use that will connect to all utilities, but I am not sure where those definitions are housed within the SUE Dgnlib.
Thanks for any information you may have!
The Node Type and Conduit Types are hardcoded categories. The Network Types available within the Conduit Type Categories are specific to Features with in those. For example Storm Water Catergory has a Network Type option of Storm Water Only, Combined, or User Defined where as an ElectricalSegment Category has a Network Type of Lighting, Power, or User Defined.
Conduits can only connect from Nodes in similar Category. ElectricalSegment Conduit Features can connect to ElectricalNode Features, StormWater Conduit Features can connect to StormWaterNode Features. Conduits can not connect to Node Features across differing categories.
