I keep loosing Vertical profiles in ORD 2020R3. My work flow is as follows- I will draw the vertical profile by tracing my active terrain, (snapping to it I believe) I will complex it, set it active and move on, removing the active terrain, and everything looks great. I come back to that same vertical profile after some time and this is what my profile now looks like. Is this a bug or something I am doing, and not realizing it.
This has happened over 20+ times within the last few weeks and is becoming quite frustrating.
This looks like a loop ramp. Does the alignment cross itself? You can get some pretty weird results in the profile if it does. You might try breaking it into two alignments. They can overlap, which might make it easier to create a smooth transition between the two, but neither alignment should cross itself.
Thank you for your response. No, I do not believe my alignment is crossing itself. I believe it has something to do with the rules being used when the profile is being draw. Somehow, something is changing between when I create it and when this happens that is modifying the geometry associated with the rules. Thats my guess?
