Hi everyone,
Just wondering if its possible to remove strings from a corridor via chainages without creating a new template.
Refer to the attached example which is the main corridor adjoining with a ramp corridor. At the join between them you end up with multiple strings on top of one another. Which will appear in drawing production and cross sections. Can strings be removed via chainages (maybe similar to a point constraint, or using a display rule for points?)
In 12d you can modify the corridor once applied, and can insert or delete strings as required. However, this does not seem possible in OpenRoads?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Glen
Are these Templates always used such that the point you'd like to remove is never actually needed in cross section?
We have create some special Feature Definitions for certain types of points. These get special names and often special symbologies. This allows us to easily isolate them using the feature or the level. You can turn off levels and you can turn off Feature Definitions by name, so if these are not part of the standard, always display feature definitions but part of the special ones created for these type of applications.
If you build templates by drag and drop of partial templates, the point that is used as the drag point, if placed coincident with an existing point will merge that point with the existing point, so that would eliminate the special use names in the middle of a template. But if used by running a template or corridor along an existing corridor or template point, the special use names will be preserved, but can be turned off in the model.
