Im working with the CDOT workspace for Openroads CONNECT edition and I am importing the survey field data. When i do all the line work comes in on the default level. Where can i find the field codes in Openroads to find out why it is not recognizing my field codes? I am using a PNEZCD Point Northing Easting Elevation Code Description TIW and i am importing a .csv. CDOT uses a field code system with a 4 digit number for each code. For example top of curb is 3506. then after the period we use the line number to identify lines and then we use the standard ORD linking codes for start curve etc. All the linking codes are working, the line work is being drawn, the points are being found, but all the line work is going onto the default layer. Under the line properties it says feature definition not found. Then under explorer/openroads standards/ feature definitons/ survey. I added a new feature definition called Linear and under symbology/linear feature symbology i selected a random linear feature symbology and redrew my linework and it worked..... i have no idea what is going on here. Can anyone explain why ORD could not find the feature definitions until i added an empty feature definition and then selected a arbitrary linear feature symbology?
It feels to me that your configuration may not be loading properly. The Feature Definitions pointing to the TMOSS codes load for me in the CDOT_Survey-Levels_Features_Annotations_Element Temp.dgnlib. Do you see this in OpenRoads Standards > Libraries >Feature Definitions?

ORD - 10.12.02.04 / 10.10.21.04 / 10.10.01.03 / 10.08.01.33Power GEOPAK / Power InRoads - 08.11.09.918Civil 3D - 2021 / 2022 / 2024
Yes it is there but under Linear there are only three feature definitions for terrain, and under survey it is all point definitions. I just got in contact with CDOT and they advised I install the new workspace that was just released and it seems to be loading the feature definitions now.
I just downloaded the latest CDOT Workspace zip, installed it, & still nothing but "Feature Definition Not Found in Feature Definitions". This applies to ALL linear tmoss codes. The lines connect but all on default. What gives?
Hi Alexander,
I can help you with this. After you import your raw data you need to strip off the .1's and .2's from your survey fieldbook. You need to do this for all points and all linear features.
Let me know if you need any more help.
